HOW IT WORKS…

If you decide to submit a request for a project, I will research the character[s] through image searches, screenshots, videos, etc.
I will then try to figure out a recipe to get it made; potential base figures, 3D sculpt/printed parts, hand-sculpting, painting, accessories, etc.
[All of these factors are considered in the final price.]
If I feel like the project is within my scope of abilities and something I would like to build, I will get back to you with a quote and estimated timeline for completion. If you agree to the terms and wish to proceed with the order, I will send an invoice.
In most cases, I accept payment through Venmo and/or CashApp.
I understand these apps aren’t available to a lot of Customers outside of the US. I can use PayPal to receive payments in such instances, but I try to avoid it if possible as the fees are quite high.
Payment is due up-front to help me afford parts and materials, as well as to secure my time working on your order.
I usually estimate between 4-6 weeks to complete an order. This gives me time to order and receive materials, work on the figures, and typically accounts for any delays that may arise during the process.
I also work on multiple customers’ orders at the same time. This is a full-time job for me, so I am constantly taking on new commissions and I tend to work on them in phases (i.e., while waiting for the sculpt to cure on one figure, I will be painting another, etc.). I try to balance my work across multiple commissions to be fair to everyone.
Once I've begun working on your order, I will keep you updated on the progress with photos and emails/messages. This will not only keep you apprised of the status of your order, but also give you a glimpse into the process, a chance to provide input, and help to ensure the finished product meets your expectations. When the order is complete, I will ship your order via USPS and provide you with the tracking number and estimated arrival date. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

F.A.Q.

Why so expensive?

This is probably the question I get asked the most. Pricing for my figures is based on several factors: complexity of the build, cost of base materials/supplies, estimated time it would take me to complete the project, etc.

The licensed action figures you buy in stores or online are mass-produced and therefore more affordable than hand-made/custom ones. And action figures are constantly getting much more expensive and exclusive, making base parts more costly and challenging to acquire.

The figures I make are literal works of art and require a lot of time and effort. It could take me up to a month or two to complete a custom. The prices I place on these works are [in my opinion] very fair, considering.

I also try to stay competitive with the rest of the customizing community, and in some cases I am not charging as much as I could or probably should. It is a constant challenge to charge enough to secure my time and effort, while also keeping prices accessible to interested buyers.

How did you get started?

I’ve always loved action figures. I’ve collected them since I was a child. To me, they’re like these amazing little statues of the people and characters we love; only better because they’re also articulated and come with cool accessories.I started making simple custom repaints and kit-bashed figures in junior high. Toy fare magazine (RIP) used to have a section each month that showcased custom toys submitted by the readers. That’s when I realized there were others like me out there. My very first custom was turning an early Batman animated figure into Space Ghost. I’d give anything to have that figure on display in my home now, but who knows where it ended up…Thanks to YouTube and social media, I was able to watch the tools and techniques other customizers were using and spent years developing my skills.I started sharing my work online and eventually this became my full-time job.

Do you make figures other than characters from Stargate?

Lol. Stargate is life for me. I’ve been a massive fan for fifteen years. That was really where my career in customizing started taking off. My first serious, skilled customs were making figures of Apophis and Master Bra’tac to build up my collection of DST toys. To be honest, it kind of pigeon-holed me to a degree as that’s what most people know me for. But, I have made figures of DC and Marvel characters, movies, games, TV shows, musicians, other fans and their spouses/children, even concept characters for my customers’ projects. I have a lot of interests and I try to branch out whenever possible to make figures based on anything and everything. So, let me know your ideas, no matter the subject matter!
